Hi, I’m Megan and I’m glad you are here.

I grew up in Berkeley, CA. and raised my family in Oakland until we moved to the foothills of the Tahoe forest in 2019. I consider myself a city-girl in recovery, slowly finding my way to the rhythm of living closer to nature.

I have two kids, 14 and 11, who are my absolute joys. My eldest was born with a very rare genetic condition. He has complex disabilities: medical, physical and cognitive. He has opened me to a world I was ignorant of, immersing me in the realities of disability, fragility and profound love. My daughter, son, and husband respectively have been my wisest teachers.

I found this work through my own journey of self-healing. My mother died in my early 40s. Our relationship was deeply complex and left behind a lot to heal, understand and process. At the time of her passing I had two young children, worked full-time as a hospice nurse and had spent several years as my mother’s primary caregiver. I was full of anxiety and disconnected from myself. Childhood traumas were resurfacing; things I thought I had long left behind  suddenly demanded my attention. The realization that I was caregiving everyone else to the sacrifice of myself was an essential turning point, but I had limited success shifting my patterns with therapy and support groups.

Around this time, I was reading studies about the use of psychedelics for alleviation of end-of-life anxiety and decided to look into training to help my hospice patients. Little did I know this would lead to my own healing journey, one that continues to this day. I met my first guide eight years ago, and began my own discovery and healing work. A deep bow of gratitude to the many teachers, healers, elders and mentors who have helped me find my path back to myself. This poem from TS Eliot speaks to me:

“We shall not cease from exploring. And the end of all our exploring. Will be to arrive where we started. And know the place for the first time.”

And here I am today, meeting others where they are in service of their own discovery and healing. It’s an honor to be meeting you where you are.
